freeoceanus:

Just a reminder that Seaworld is not, in fact, ‘world class’, the nations of Bolivia, Chile, Costa Rica, Croatia, Greece, Hungary, Slovenia and Switzerland expressly ban or are in the process of ending cetacean captivity. While the nations of Brazil, Norway and the United Kingdom make it nearly impossible to keep cetaceans captive and would consider Seaworld’s practices to be tantamount to animal abuse. Furthermore, India, with a population of 1.2 billion, has outright banned cetacean captivity based on the advanced mental capacity of dolphins and their adverse reactions to long term captivity.

In fact Seaworld isn’t even US-class, the states of California and New York have both considered/are considering banning Seaworld and it’s practices and the states of South Carolina and Hawaii both ban cetacean captivity in certain areas.

Seaworld is not world class.
