and as far as hompho lesbian feminists go, most of them deny that lesbians and gays go through different types of struggles in society or will even try to say that the struggle is worse for them. oppression olympics. or theyll defend homophobia towards men because it’s a ‘part of toxic masculinity’ and so it’s not their problem.

homophobia towards women is mostly fetishization by het guys, which is annoying im sure. it usually maxes out at violence towards women who dont want to have sex with someone because they are les, but this is rarer than the cases against gay men (but still a total problem).

the violence towards gay men is usually more consistent, especially in poorer countries outside of america. where lesbianism might be fetishized gayness is commonly feared and denied in comparison.

there is a bit of privilege to being a les in comparison to a gay. im not saying this is something to be ashamed of, im saying dont pretend it doesnt exist to defend your homophobia.

it’s similar to the difference of struggles between mtfs and ftms, which most feminists seem to understand, sometimes too much to they point they become transmisandric to ftms.

“Lesbophobia” isn’t real.  The term is “homophobia”, and by trying to limit the range of oppression based on sexuality to only apply to women is repulsive.  Honey, when’s the last time you’ve ever heard of a lesbian getting dragged down a dirt road by a rope attached to a trailer hitch?  Do you even know what they called AIDS back when the epidemic first came into the puiblic consciousness?  The “Gay Plague”.  Men that have had sexual contact with another man are even prohibited from donating blood or plasma TO THIS DAY because of the strong association with AIDS.

You were given cold, hard facts, and your response was to cry “I DON’T LIKE THIS!”, rather than acknowledge your own privilege as a woman.  As a bisexual woman with a gay godfather, I’m not okay with how you want to treat the legitimate strife that he has experienced.  You are nothing but a man-hating little girl that desperately needs to grow the fuck up.  Not only are you privileged as a lesbian over gay men, but you’re privileged as a woman over ALL men in first-world nations:
