Seriously. I worked at the same store and I vouch for this. Our payroll came directly from our total of front end sales. When our shrink was too high, obviously that would affect how much payroll was available to us. On our team, we had single moms, women working three jobs just to make rent, a guy in national guard that was trying to save up to go to art school and get the hell out of retail. So how about you don’t contribute to keeping us in poverty, since you’re literally doing nothing to change fucking anything by doing this, Christ.
