As always, there was no plan or structure for my inktobers, just desperately trying to think of something interesting and feasible to draw each day. Let’s see how that broke down:
Bug people
The biggest category this year because bug people are fun to draw. 2, 8, 10, 11, 12, 15, 17, 24, 30
Office hell
I don’t know why this is such a strong theme for me, maybe because having to take a shitty white collar job to survive is a major anxiety of mine. Or because cartoonish suits are easy to draw. 13, 16, 18, 20, 29, 31
Face horror
This is just my go-to subject when I can’t think of anything else to draw. No coincidence that besides the cosmonaut these are some of my laziest entries. 4, 9, 14, 19, 27 + 28
Bugs/bug monsters
You’d think this would be a larger category, but I get too damn fussy when drawing real bugs and make it a chore for myself. 1, 3, 20, 26
Overall, there were a few real shitty entries but I’m satisfied with more than I’m dissatisfied with, so I’ll call this inktober a success. Might take a break from drawing and get back into woodworking or song editing or something for a little while. We’ll see.
